somehow i just quickly get myself prepared because need to attend the pre-departure briefing from SHU SEA regional office with one of my friend.
around 11pm we arrived Tarc DKD and there was a lot of people that have at least 300+ people.
anyways, the briefing start around 11.30pm and there was more and more people coming in as i saw some even sit on the floor as below.
then i just write down those important stuff about the related information as below.

- Jackets, some biscuit, no liquid.
- Bank draft to SHU and cash.
- Laptop, phone, camera and things that is expensive.
Documents
- Passport photocopy.
- Offer letter.
- Copy of hostel address, phone number.
- University address, phone number.
- Important documents must be hand carry all the time including going Europe Trip.
Don't Carry
- Knife.
- Cooking utensils.
- Charcoal.
- Gas stove.
- Milo, contain milk.
- Egg.
- Etc.
Pre-departure, get ready the documents
- Printed copy of pre-enrolment details.
- Passport.
- Originial copy of unconditional offer letter.
- Printed flight tickets.
- 2 bank draft : Course fee and living expenses £800 per month.
Do's and Don'ts in Immigration
- Don't play or run around with friends.
- Don't attract too much attention.
- Don't take photo in immigration area.
- Answer directly to question ask.
- Show document proof if ask.
- Do not be afraid when answering question such as your course code is BA (Hons) Business with E-commerce and Marketing.
- Always carry with a pleasant smile.
Look out for student crew
- Green Sheffield Hallam T-shirt.
- They will guide you to the right coach.
- Each coach goes to different accomodation.
What if SHU Green team are not there
- Wait by the information desk in the airport.
- They will be on their way.
Once receive accommodation, manager/senior resident will ask you to
- Form friendship groups.
- Rooms allocated upon arrival.
Cost of living in Sheffield
- Sheffield was one of the lowest student cost of living in England.
- Average cost for food minimum per week was £35, local travel per week £12 while asian food is expensive.
University is not associated with any tour operator
- Do not go with unregulated tour operator.
- University only invite tour operator that are registered with ABTA. (Association of British Tour Agent)
- University will only issue Europe Trip letter for returning to UK for students booked with ABTA. (Must bring letter)
- Backpackers and those that book with Non-ABTA protected agencies will only be given letters once they sigh a disclaimer.
Do not work as tour agents
- This is illegal even without pay.
- Can be deported immediately if get caught by UKBA.
How much is the bank draft for the financial proof that i have to bring over
- Bring cash £400 while the rest is in bank draft.
- Open Barclay account number in UK + Address, Swift code.
- Since we're Commenwealth country, there is free visa for total 6 month period. (Maximum 9 month as 3 month study + 6 month after the Europe trip)
University Insurance
- Only cover any hospitalization.
- Does not cover normal medial. (Clinic - £6)
- Major medical £250.
Things you should not do in Sheffield
- Register free hand phone contract. (iPhone 5, S4, etc)
- Don't work part time.
- Proposing unethical conduct such as bribery, fight, drug/drunk.

well, i guess that's was the all information i got regarding this traveling journey as i was looking forward into it although still have some worries.
honestly, i was still thinking back my past when they explaining the details because my mind was full of "What if i go with my ex-classmate last year" and "others" thing but just telling myself that what had past, shall be a past stories because no use to think so much.
in fact, it requires some time to keep "self remind" myself to have positive mindset.
after that, they start to distribute the blue colour T-shirt but i just feel not very happy because we did not get it when almost reach our turn since i had been waited for 40 minutes+.
anyways, we just write down our name as there was so much people, yet only few laptop.
then i went to have my lunch at Tarc Papparich with a friend to have some chit chat.
when i arrive back my KL house, i quickly pack those leftover stuff as my brother will arrive soon.
after packing all those things, my brother fetched me to Lowyat to buy my laptop.
around 3.10pm we arrived there and went to my friend's recommended shop to see the laptop and survey at others shop.
after walking for some time, we decided to have our "tea break" at Sushi Zanmai where my brother asked me to treat him after i resign from work.
well, i just liked the new dish as shown below since i always order the same dish.
besides, my brother just share some experience from his past Europe trip that there is a Casino which is near to Sheffield and where can eat a lot of food at there and even got free stuff if you check in for 20 times.
after that, i finally decided to buy the Fujitsu AH532 for RM2,000 as i had "struggling" for some time to make the final decision.
somehow the process took about 45 minutes and we just walk around that area to buy the laptop's mouse.
around 6.30pm we make a move from there and i just saw some very young children (age 6~12) selling flower in the road when we pass by Times Square. (I should be grateful of what i had)
finally i arrived back hometown at 7.30pm and start to pack all my stuff.
moreover, i do get "scolded" by brother for something which i know is my "bad".
later on, i finally can "touch" the laptop as it was my first time to have my very own laptop as below.
then i just check on the latest news and information which seems to be my one of my daily routine to keep "busy body" around.
while looking on the blog of my previous Japanese boss company, it seems that he was quite brave to explore the Asian market as it sounds quite interesting of an entrepreneur adventure.
on the other hand, most of the news was about the 13th General Election poll for tomorrow voters.
in fact, Google Doodle for today was about Malaysia elections as it will be watch by worldwide as you can go to www.google.com/ncr (Worldwide Version, maybe just Malaysia dot com dot my since it has been redirected to Malaysian server?) as shown picture below.
somehow i do feel quite worry and exciting because it was my first time to vote.
hopefully everything will be running smooth although there is so much "dirty tricks" has been spread as so call "rumors" by the BX to deny "something".
at last, i would definitely hope to see some changes after being ruled by the same party for almost 55 years.
